CHARLOTTE BENTON, 74, of Cumberland, died Friday, December 29th, 2017, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Celebration of Life Services for CHARLOTTE BENTON will be held 10:30-a.m. Saturday, January 6th, 2018, at the Cumberland Community Building in Cumberland, with a luncheon immediately following the service.  Steen Funeral Home in Massena is in charge of the arrangements.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 5th, from 3-until 8-p.m., with the family greeting friends from 6-until 8-p.m.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

A private family burial will be held at the Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield, at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Cumberland City Park Playground Equipment fund.

Her husband – Ron Benton, of Cumberland.

Her daughter – Teresa (Brian) Knapp, of Lohrville, Iowa

Her sons – Terry Benton, of Cumberland; Tony Benton, of Springville, Iowa and Todd (Jenny) Benton, of Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Her sister – Jeanette (Bill) Sheeder, of Guthrie Center.

Her brothers – Ken Cline, of Des Moines; Ed (Jane) Cline, of Guthrie Center; Keith (Dona) Cline, of Des Moines, and Marvin (Ilene) Cline, of Huntington Beach, CA;

6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;  other relatives and friends.
