The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office released details on numerous recent arrests on Monday.

Early Monday morning at 3:05 am Deputies arrested 48-year-old Robert Allen Hunter of Council Bluffs for Domestic Abuse Assault, Impeding Airflow. Officers were initially called for a suspicious vehicle in the area. When they arrived on scene the caller fled the area on foot after not obeying verbal commands. He was eventually apprehended and a further investigation revealed Hunter had assaulted his 69-year-old Mother earlier in the day. Officers observed that Robert Allen Hunter was under the influence of narcotics during the arrest. He was taken into custody and held.

On Sunday, September 24th Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at 818 Scenic Circle in Oakland at 5:10pm. Upon arrival officers spoke with Jolaine Mills who informed them a verbal argument had occurred between her and her husband. When Deputies asked to speak with the husband they were informed he went out the back door and had a warrant for his arrest. Officers were able to apprehend the suspect after a foot pursuit and he proceeded to provide a false name to the Deputy. They were able to confirm his identity as 45-year-old Michael Darrell Jacobsen of Oakland. He was charged with Interference with Official Acts and also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Driving While Barred.  He was taken to the Pottawattamie County Jail and booked in.

Also on Sunday at 1:25pm Deputies were called to 406 2nd Street Apartment C for a reported Domestic Assault. After investigation Deputies arrested 32-year-old Amanda Jean Duncan of Neola for Domestic Assault with Injury. Officers determined that Duncan had assaulted her boyfriend during the incident causing minor injuries.

On Sunday at 8:44am a traffic stop was conducted on a black Pontiac Aztec at 214th Street and Highway 92 due to the plates not matching the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 79-year-old Ronald Walter Klinker of Hastings. Klinker was arrested for Driving While Barred along with three Pottawattamie County Warrants for Driving While Barred, Property Damage, and Failure to Appear for time served. Klinker was taken to the Pottawattamie County Jail and booked in.

On Friday, September 22nd at 11:28pm Deputies attempted to stop a black Chevy Silverado in the area of the 55 mile marker on Interstate 29 for Speeding and Registration Violations. The Silverado attempted to elude law enforcement and a pursuit ensued. The driver was later apprehended and identified as 56-year-old Mark Leroy Mortensen of Council Bluffs. He was found to be Wanted on three different Warrants through Pottawattamie County for Probation Violation, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, and Reckless Driving.  Mortensen was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Eluding, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Meth pipe, baggies, and butane torch), and OWI 1st Offense.

Also on Friday, September 22nd at 10:38pm Deputies responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle at Antique City Drive and Highland Street in Walnut. After investigation 31-year-old Phillip Houston of Harlan was arrested for Driving While Barred.
