Adair County Sheriff Jeff Vandewater today (Tuesday) released a report on arrests that have taken place over the past week. Two people were arrested Saturday: 25-year old Dalton James Cormeny, of Fontanelle, was arrested in Fontanelle for Harassment in the 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief in the 5th Degree. Authorities say he intentionally damaged a coffee table and threatened to kill a woman in the home if she tried to call the police, all the while holding onto a chain saw. Cormeny was being held in the Adair County Jail on $2,000 bond.

And, 36-year old Kiley Marie Hannan, of Des Moines, was arrested in Fontanelle, for Driving Under Suspension. She was subsequently cited and released on the scene.

Last Friday, Adair County Deputies arrested 49-year old Shannon Lea Hogan, of Fontanelle, for Assault, after she allegedly tried to strike her ex-boyfriend Michael Huddleson, by driving toward him in a threatening manner. She then got out of her vehicle and tried to pepper spray Huddleson. The incident followed an earlier altercation between the pair. Hogan was later released on $2,000 bond. 37-year old Michael Lynn Huddleson, of Fontanelle, was arrested that same day in connection with the altercation, for 1st Degree Harassment and Trespass. Authorities say he allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend if she didn’t give him a dog he’d given her, back. During an altercation, he allegedly jumped in front of her truck while it was moving. He was released later, on $2,000 bond.

45-year old Jason Edward Caldwell, of Stuart, was arrested by Stuart Police for Driving While Barred. Caldwell was subsequently released on $2,000 bond.

On May 4th, 38-year old Daniel Richie Vais, of Casey, was arrested following a traffic stop by the Iowa State Patrol on Interstate 80. He was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (multiple hypodermic syringes) and OWI/1st offense. Vais was later released on $1,000 bond. Sheriff Vandewater said also, 62-year old James Jeffrey Reese, of Bridgewater, was arrested May 3rd on warrants for Theft in the 4th Degree and Trespassing. Reese was also cited for Driving While Revoked and Operating a non-registered vehicle. He was released the following day on $1, 300 bond. 27-year old Matthew Ryan Johnson, of Fontanelle, was arrested May 3rd also, on an Adair County warrant for Trespassing. He was later released on $300 bond.

On May 2nd, 47-year old Donald James Noggle, of Stuart, was arrested by Stuart Police for Domestic Assault causing Bodily Injury. And, on May 1st, 18-year old Spencer Douglas Calkins, of Corning, was arrested for OWI. He was cited at the scene and then released.
