Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week the NFL announced this morning.

Berry had nine tackles (7 solo), two passes defensed, one tackle for loss and one interception returned for a touchdown in the Chiefs’ 20-17 win over the Carolina Panthers. Berry’s pick-six brought the Chiefs within three points in a game that they were down as many as 17.

The interception was Berry’s second of the season and the 12^th of his career. It was his fourth career interception return for a touchdown.
