Kraemer tosses 3 TD passes, Drake tops D-II McKendree 28-16

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Grant Kraemer went 24 of 42 for 241 yards with three touchdown passes and Drake pulled away from Division II member McKendree 28-16 on Saturday. McKendree built a 10-0 lead after one quarter on a 39-yard touchdown run by Brandon Wildman and a 29-yard field goal by Steven O’Block.
But the Bulldogs (1-2) ran off 28 straight points, including touchdown receptions by Andrew Yarwood, Grant Menard and Eric Saubert, the last of which made it 28-10 at the end of the third quarter.
Kraemer completed passes to 11 different Drake receivers. Drew Lauer led the Bulldogs in rushing with 76 yards on 12 carries. Conley Wilkens added 69 yards on the ground and a 16-yard touchdown carry in the second quarter.
