Defending national champion Nebraska picked to win Big Ten

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Defending national champion Nebraska is the unanimous choice of Big Ten coaches to win the conference title in women’s volleyball. National semifinalist and defending Big Ten champion Minnesota is picked to finish second, followed by Wisconsin, Penn State and Illinois. Ohio State is sixth in the poll, followed by Michigan State, Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern, Maryland, Iowa, Indiana and Rutgers.
Michigan’s Abby Cole, Nebraska’s Kadie Rolfzen, Penn State’s Haleigh Washington and Wisconsin’s Lauren Carlini are unanimous selections to the coaches’ preseason All-Big Ten team. Other members are Illinois’ Jordyn Poulter, Michigan State’s Chloe Reinig, Minnesota’s Hannah Tapp, Paige Tapp and Samantha Seliger-Swenson, Nebraska’s Amber Rolfzen and Justine Wong-Orantes, Ohio State’s Taylor Sandbothe, Penn State’s Ali Frantti, and Wisconsin’s Haleigh Nelson.
