Guthrie Center man arrested for Harassment by text message

The Adair County Sheriff’s Office reports a Guthrie County man was arrested July 6th for Harassment in the 2nd degree. 20-year old Richard Charles Hughes, of Guthrie Center, was taken into custody after an investigation determined he allegedly sent threatening text messages to his ex-girlfriend, whereby he said he would come to her new boyfriends’ residence and beat him up. He also allegedly said in the text messages, that her new boyfriend was “A dead man.” Hughes was brought to the Adair County Jail and later released on $1,000 bond.
The Adair County Sheriff’s Office reports also, 30-year old Cody Chance Day, of Nodaway, was arrested July 3rd on a warrant out of Webster County. That same day, 28-year old Devin Lee Parker, was arrested on a warrant out of Dallas County. Both men were later transported to their respective counties’ law enforcement agencies.
A man from Des Moines was arrested in Adair County on July 3rd, by an Iowa State Patrol Trooper. 41-year old Jammi Reinier, was taken into custody for Driving While Suspended after he was stopped for speeding on I-80 westbound. Reinier’s license had been revoked for a drug-related conviction and suspended for non-payment of child support. He was later released from the Adair County Jail on $300 bond. Also arrested July 3rd for Driving While Suspended, was 27-year old Jimmy Lee Harris, of Sergeant Bluff. Harris was also later released on $300 bond.
And, a man from Payson, AZ, was arrested July 3rd following a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 92 and Jordan Avenue, in Adair County. 36-year old Robert Blaine Herbel was charged with OWI/1st offense, after he failed Field Sobriety and Breath Analysis tests. Herbel was later released on $1,000 bond.
