DAVENPORT, Iowa (AP) — Davenport officials are looking to install surveillance cameras around the city’s cemetery as part of an effort to curb vandalism there. Davenport Alderman Ray Ambrose told the Quad-City Times that would-be vandals might have second thoughts if they knew they were being watched. Vandals in recent days knocked six tombstones off their bases and broke one, resulting in an estimated $1,600 in damage.
MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (AP) — Marshalltown officials have learned that asbestos will have to be removed from five properties in the city.
