Clarinda Police Chief Keith Brothers reports his officers responded early this (Sunday) morning to a report of a disturbance involving a knife. The incident took place in front of the Inda- Clar Recreation Parlor, located at 109 W. Washington Street.

Upon arrival, officers encountered 28-year old Kyle Campbell, of Shenandoah, who was wielding a knife. Officers ordered Campbell to drop the knife and Campbell complied. Kyle Campbell was arrested for disorderly conduct (engaging in fighting and violent behavior in a public place) and public intoxication.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Clarinda Regional Health Center Emergency Room after complaining of pain to his jaw. Campbell was transported to the Page County Jail a short time later, and remained in custody on $300 bond.
