THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A DENSE FOG ADVISORY…WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT MONDAY.
*VISIBILITY…ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS. THE DENSE FOG IS MORE SPOTTY ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN IOWA, SO VISIBILITIES MAY BE QUITE VARIABLE WITH RAPID REDUCTIONS EXPECTED.
* IMPACTS…VISIBILITIES WILL BE GREATLY REDUCED IN THE FOG…AND CAUTION IS ADVISED FOR ANYONE TRAVELING OVERNIGHT.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A DENSE FOG ADVISORY MEANS VISIBILITIES WILL FREQUENTLY BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN ONE QUARTER MILE. IF DRIVING…SLOW DOWN… USE YOUR HEADLIGHTS…AND LEAVE PLENTY OF DISTANCE AHEAD OF YOU.
