Cass County Republican Convention takes place Saturday

Cass County Republican Party Chair David Wiederstein has announced the County Republican Party Convention will be held this Saturday, March 12th, beginning at 9-a.m. About 70 delegates will convene at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Parish Center to discuss party business, and choose 13 delegates who will attend both the District and State Conventions.
And, Cass County Democratic Party Chair Sherry Toelle has announced the County Democratic Convention will also be held Saturday, March 12th. They’ll meet at the Cass County Court House. Registration begins at 8:30-a.m., with the Convention convening at 9-a.m. The 50 Delegates to the County Convention will elect five delegates, based on Presidential preference groups, who will move on to the Iowa Democratic Party’s District Convention on April 30th in Creston and to the State Convention to be held in Des Moines on June 18th.
County delegates will also vote on the County Platform and on representatives for District and State Committees as well as to vacancies on the Cass County Central Committee.
