The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports two arrests on New Year’s Day, one of which included a short chase.

At 3:28am Deputies arrested 17-year-old Dalton Scott Jipsen of Elliot following a short motor vehicle pursuit that started 3/4 of a mile East of H Avenue and 110th Street in Montgomery County and ended in the 1000 block of I Avenue west of Elliot.  Jipsen was charged with Speed by Radar, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Failure to Maintain Control, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Jipsen was processed and released to a parent and further charges are pending.

Also on Janurary 1st at 12:45am Montgomery County Sheriff’s Officials arrested 16-year-old Austin Dallas Houston of Stanton for OWI 1st Offense following a traffic stop.  Houston was stopped at the intersection of Broad Avenue and Center Street in Stanton.  He was processed and released to a parent.
