Nats top the Cards 4-3 Wed. night; Lyons recalled from Minors to start for Wacha

ST. LOUIS (AP) — Ryan Zimmerman homered twice as the Washington Nationals beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3 Wednesday night. Zimmerman reached 200 career home runs with his second shot. Jayson Werth also homered for the Nationals. Johnathan Broxton took the loss.
Tyler Lyons was recalled from Triple-A Memphis to start in place of Michael Wacha for the St. Louis Cardinals against the Washington Nationals. The NL Central leaders optioned Marco Gonzales back to Triple-A Memphis before Wednesday night’s game. St. Louis also recalled left-hander Nick Greenwood and right-hander Miguel Socolovich from Memphis.
