AREA COUNTIES: AUDUBON-GUTHRIE-DALLAS-CASS-ADAIR-MADISON-ADAMS-UNION-TAYLOR-RINGGOLD; 515 AM CDT THU SEP 17 2015
TODAY AND TONIGHT: SCATTERED MAINLY NON SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY THIS MORNING ACROSS THE AREA. A FEW STORMS MAY PRODUCE BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL…SMALL HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS TO 45 MPH.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE SEVERE…WITH LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS THE MAIN THREATS. AN ISOLATED TORNADO OR TWO IS ALSO POSSIBLE THROUGH EARLY EVENING. HEAVY RAINFALL MAY ALSO ACCOMPANY THE STORMS THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT TONIGHT WITH MORE THAN 2 INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY: SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE AGAIN ON FRIDAY WITH THE PRIMARY
ACTIVITY FOCUSED SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 80. HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS REMAIN THE MAIN THREAT THOUGH A FEW TORNADOES MAY ALSO OCCUR. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS ON FRIDAY WILL PRODUCE HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS SOUTHERN IOWA.
