BERNARD “BERNIE” M. LEINEN, 83, of Harlan (& formerly of Portsmouth), died Fri., Sept. 4th, at the Elm Crest Retirement Community in Harlan. A Mass of Christian Burial for BERNIE LEINEN will be held 10:30-a.m. Tue., Sept. 8th, at St. Mary/Our Lady of Fatima Church, in Portsmouth. Pauley-Jones Funeral Home in Harlan has the arrangements.
Visitation at St. Mary’s church in Portsmouth will be held from Noon until 8-p.m. Mon., Sept. 7th, with a Rosary at 7-p.m.
Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery at Portsmouth.
BERNARD “BERNIE” LEINEN is survived by:
His wife – Helen Leinen, of Harlan.
His sons – Gary (Barb) Leinen, and Steve (DeeDee) Leinen, all of Panama, & Randy (Lisa) Leinen, of Harlan.
His daughters – Carol (Randy) Vogel, of Ankeny; Patty (Duane) Assmann, of Harlan, & Lori (Gail) Weis, of Omaha.
His sister – Virginia Reinig, of Portsmouth.
His brothers – Rich (Alma) Leinen, of Portsmouth, & Joe (Jeanette) Leinen, of Council Bluffs.
26 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
