A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 8 PM TODAY.
THE HEAT INDEX WILL RANGE FROM 105 TO 112 DEGREES ACROSS THE ADVISORY AREA DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS.
HEAT RELATED ILLNESS LIKE HEAT STRESS…HEAT CRAMPS OR POSSIBLY HEAT STROKE IS MORE LIKELY. PETS AND LIVESTOCK WILL ALSO BE IMPACTED BY THE HEAT AND APPROPRIATE MEASURES SHOULD BE TAKEN FOR THE ANIMALS SAFETY.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE POSSIBLE. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS…STAY IN AN AIR-CONDITIONED ROOM…STAY OUT OF THE SUN…AND CHECK UP ON RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS.
