1 injured in 2 car collision in Red Oak Wed. afternoon

Red Oak Police say female passenger in a vehicle involved in a collision Wednesday afternoon in Red Oak, was transported to the hospital following the crash, that took place at around 6:15-p.m. at 4th and E. Valley Streets. Authorities say 24-year old Breanna Hancock, of Chariton, was injured in the crash, and was transported by Red Oak EMS to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. Neither driver was injured.
Officials say a 2007 Pontiac G8 driven by 23-year old Christine McGlade, of Red Oak, was traveling east on E. Valley Street, and was struck by a northbound 2012 Kia Forte, driven by 17-year old Bayley Lampe, of Red Oak. McGlade admitted to authorities that she had failed to yield at the intersection.
In addition to Failure to Yield, McGlade was cited for Failure to provide proof of insurance. Damage from the collision amounted to $10,000.
