FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7-p.m. TODAY (THURSDAY) THROUGH 7-a.m. FRIDAY.
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OMAHA/VALLEY HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST IOWA AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.
THE POTENTIAL FOR THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN TONIGHT WILL BRING THE RISK OF FLASH FLOODING. AREA STREAMS…CREEKS AND SMALLER RIVERS MAY REACH OR EXCEED BANKFULL. FLOODING MAY OCCUR IN LOW LYING AREAS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
