* WIDESPREAD THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN TODAY INTO TONIGHT…WITH TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS RANGING FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES AND LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS CERTAINLY POSSIBLE.
* RAINFALL RATES AS HIGH AS TWO INCHES PER HOUR AT TIMES MAY LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING AND RISES IN AREA RIVERS. PORTIONS OF THE DES
MOINES AND RACCOON RIVER BASINS AND TRIBUTARIES MAY BE IMPACTED
LATER IN THE WEEK.
