An accident in Cass County Sunday evening resulted in possible, minor injuries to the drivers of two vehicles which collided near the intersection of Highways 71 and 92. Authorities the the accident was reported just after 6-p.m. According to the report, a 1999 Chevy Lumina owned and driven by 50-year old Neil Schmidt, of Griswold, was southbound on Highway 71 and had attempted to turn left into a driveway shortly before the intersection of Highways 71 and 92, when the car was struck in the rear by a 2001 Ford Focus owned and driven by 44-year old Pamela Alberta Heiny, of Massena. Both drivers refused medical attention. Damage to Schmidt’s vehicle is estimated at $750; damage to Heiny’s vehicle is estimated at $3,000.
