Missouri State routs Drake 62-37 in MVC play

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — Marcus Marshall scored 19 points and Missouri State never trailed on its way to a 62-37 victory over Drake on Saturday. Marshall was 8 of 17 from the floor and 2 of 6 from 3-point range. Camyn Boone and Austin Ruder each added 12 points for the Bears (8-6, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference).
Missouri State led 35-22 at the break, and held the Bulldogs to just 15 second-half points. C.J. Rivers made a free throw at the start of the second, and Drake didn’t score again until Jordan Daniels hit a jumper with 13:57 left to play. Missouri State grabbed 20 more boards than Drake in the contest.
Jacob Enevold Jensen led the Bulldogs (3-11, 0-2) with 13 points, the only Drake player to score in double figures as the team combined to shoot 28.6 percent.
