MARTHA LAUER, 76, of the Hill of Zion area, died Sat., January 24th, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Celebration of Life Services for MARTHA LAUER will be held 10:30-a.m. Wednesday, January 28th, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Greenfield. Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield has the arrangements.

An open visitation will be held from 3-to 8-pm Tuesday, Jan. 27th at St. John’s Catholic Church in Greenfield, with the family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at the St. John’s Catholic Church on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.; Online condolences may be left to the family at www.steenfunerals.com.

Burial will be in the Hill of Zion Cemetery, rural Orient.

Memorials may be directed to the Matha Lauer memorial fund to be established by the family at a later date.

Her children – Ronald (Dee Ann), Kim (Burt) Maeder, Roger, and Carrie (Jon) Powell.

Her sister-in-laws, Marilyn Fils and Jean Ward; brother-in-laws, David (Marjorie) Lauer and Delmar (Alice) Brown.

9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
