January 5th, 2015 by Ric Hanson
The Iowa Hawkeyes return to Big Ten action at home this (Monday) evening against Nebraska. The Hawkeyes opened the Big Ten race with a win at Ohio State and this will be the first of two home games this week for coach Fran McCaffery’s team. The Hawkeyes take on a Nebraska team known for its defense.
McCaffery says the key will be ball movement and quality shots. The Huskers have a potent one-two combination in juniors Terran Petteway and Shavon Shields. The combine for nearly 37 points per game.
Nebraska opened Big Ten play with a loss at home to Indiana. The Huskers are 8-5 overall. You can hear the game on KJAN beginning tonight at 7.
