Traffic stop results in the arrest of a Crawford Co. man on drug charges

A traffic stop south of Denison this (Monday) morning, resulted in one person being arrested on drug charges. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office reports 42-year old Paul James Burk, of Dow City,was formally charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1,000.
Authorities say a vehicle Burk was in was pulled over on Highway 59. The Crawford County K-9 “Bayou” was deployed, and detected the odor of illegal drugs. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of Methamphetamine and Drug Paraphernalia, which were seized into evidence.
