FRED L. STURDEVANT, 81, of West Des Moines (& formerly of Grimes & Atlantic), died Thursday, October 23rd, at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines. Graveside services for FRED STURDEVANT will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28th, in the Atlantic Cemetery. Iles Funeral Home – Westover Chapel in Des Moines has the arrangements.

Other services: The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, October 27, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, located at 8301 Aurora Avenue in Urbandale. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, where an additional visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

His wife of 61 years – Ethel Sturdevant

His children – Jenny Schuler, Peggy (Rich) Wolfe, and Fred Sturdevant and his companion, Kathy Wissle.

His brothers – Frank Sturdevant, Richard Sturdevant and Phillip Sturdevant.

His sisters – Penny Harris and Laura Postma.

Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
