THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR…CRAWFORD COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL IOWA…WESTERN CARROLL COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL IOWA…* UNTIL 1245 AM CDT
* AT 652 PM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. FLASH FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY. LAW ENFORCEMENT HAS REPORTED THAT WATER IS OVER HIGHWAY 141 BETWEEN DENISON AND CHARTER OAK. RAINFALL AMOUNTS NEAR 2 INCHES HAVE OCCURRED WITH AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES POSSIBLE IN CRAWFORD COUNTY. THIS ACTIVITY WILL SPREAD EAST INTO CARROLL COUNTY.
