EAST CENTRAL OTOE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA…

* AT 612 AM CDT…DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN
FROM THUNDERSTORMS HAD ALREADY FALLEN OVER THE AREA. THIS WILL
CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. STREET FLOODING AND
RAPID RISES ON SMALL STREAMS CAN BE EXPECTED. AN ADDITIONAL ONE
INCH OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE THROUGH 8 AM.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE…TURN AROUND…DONT DROWN.
