FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7-PM THIS EVENING THROUGH 7-AM TUESDAY.
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING HEAVY RAIN ARE FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA THIS EVENING. SOME AMOUNTS OF 2 INCHES OR MORE ARE POSSIBLE. RECENT HEAVY RAINS HAVE NEARLY SATURATED THE SOIL MAKING RUNOFF FROM HEAVIER RAIN MORE LIKELY. THIS COULD LEAD TO FLOODING OR FLASH FLOODING.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
