TONIGHT AND MONDAY…ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE THIS INTO THIS EVENING. SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED…BUT BRIEF HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE WITH ANY STORMS THAT DO DEVELOP. A WEAK COLD FRONT SLIDING SOUTHEAST THROUGH SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR THUNDERSTORMS. THIS FRONT SHOULD MOVE SOUTH OF THE AREA BY MIDNIGHT…TAKING THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WITH IT.

ALTHOUGH SOME VERY MINOR FLOODING CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG THE MISSOURI RIVER FROM BLAIR TO OMAHA…THE HIGHER RIVER LEVELS WILL PERSIST SOUTH OF OMAHA. MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING IS EXPECTED FROM PLATTSMOUTH DOWNSTREAM THROUGH RULO AT LEAST FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. IN ADDITION…DUE TO RECENT HEAVY RAINS…ELEVATED LEVELS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT ON OTHER RIVER AND STREAMS ACROSS EASTERN NEBRASKA AND WESTERN IOWA.

MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY….

INTERMITTENT THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL CONTINUE OVER THE OUTLOOK AREA BEGINNING TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH NEXT WEEKEND AS A SERIES OF DISTURBANCES AND WEAK FRONTS MOVE ACROSS THE PLAINS. ALTHOUGH AN OCCASIONAL STRONG OR SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL LIKELY OCCUR…THE ORGANIZED SEVERE POTENTIAL APPEARS SMALL AT THIS TIME.

SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED TONIGHT OR MONDAY.
