April 13th, 2014 by Ric Hanson
A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT CDT TONIGHT FOR THE ENTIRE KJAN LISTENING AREA.
NORTHERLY WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 50 MPH WILL CONTINUE TO EXPAND EAST TOWARD INTERSTATE 35 THROUGH 6 PM.
THE STRONG WINDS IN ADDITION TO RAIN WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS DRIVING THROUGH THE PERIOD.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED ALONG WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT…ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
