MONTGOMERY-FREMONT-PAGE-COUNTIES…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM CST SATURDAY…MADISON-ADAMS-UNION-TAYLOR COUNTIES…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST SATURDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW…WHICH IS IN EFFECT FOR THE KJAN LISTENING AREA BEGINNING AT 6 PM (1/31) AND RUNNING THROUGH SATURDAY MORNIONG.
* TIMING…LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW SHOULD DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE INTO SATURDAY MORNING BEFORE ENDING.
* MAIN IMPACT…SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL GENERALLY RANGE FROM 3 TO 5 INCHES, WITH SLIGHTLY LESSER AMOUNTS IN THE WESTERN COUNTIES IN THE ADVISORY AREA.
*VISIBILITY…VISIBILITIES OF 1 TO 2 MILES WILL BE COMMON DURING THE EVENT…AND COULD DROP TO LESS THAN A MILE AT TIMES DURING AN OCCASIONAL BURST OF HEAVIER SNOWFALL.
* IMPACTS…ROADS ARE LIKELY TO BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLICK SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES…AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
