...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 6 PM CST SATURDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DES MOINES HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 6 PM CST SATURDAY.
* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD THE AREA SATURDAY
MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. NORTHWEST WINDS WILL
INCREASE BY MID TO LATE MORNING.
* STORM TOTAL SNOW...UP TO 2 INCHES.
* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTHWEST WINDS 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OVER
50 MPH ARE POSSIBLE AFTER 10 AM. THIS WILL CREATE AN AREA OF LOW
LEVEL BLOWING SNOW AND VISIBILITY REDUCTIONS. AREAS WITH
WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES MAY OCCUR.
* IMPACTS...TRAVEL COULD BECOME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT AND HAZARDOUS
ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA SATURDAY WHERE THE HIGHEST WINDS AND
ONE INCH OR MORE OF SNOW OCCURS.

VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO STRONG WINDS BLOWING SNOW
AROUND. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.
