Loyola (Ill.) defeats Drake 70-60

CHICAGO (AP) — Milton Doyle scored 28 points and Loyola (Ill.) defeated Drake 70-60 on Wednesday night. Devon Turk added 14 points and Christian Thomas and Jeff White 10 apiece for the Ramblers (7-10, 2-3 Missouri Valley), who snapped a two-game losing streak by shooting 50 percent from the floor. They also picked up 15 points off turnovers.
The Bulldogs (10-7, 1-4), who lost their fourth in a row, got 19 points from Richard Carter and 12 from Aaron Hawley while Jacob Enevold Jensen grabbed 11 rebounds. Tied 32-32 at the half, the Ramblers went on a 17-1 run to take a 62-52 lead on Doyle’s basket with 5:37 remaining. The Bulldogs failed to get a field goal during the 7-minute run while Turk and Thomas had five points each for Loyola during that stretch.
White’s layup with 1:43 remaining had the Ramblers up by 14, their largest lead of the game.
