ST. LOUIS (AP) – The St. Louis Cardinals and longtime broadcaster Mike Shannon have finalized a multi-year contract extension. Shannon will be entering his 56th season with the organization counting his playing career in 2014, and 42nd as broadcaster.

Shannon will not work about 50 road games next season.  Terms were not disclosed.
