Officials with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office say two boys, ages eight and nine, died Saturday after falling through the ice in a pond near Prescott. The accident at 1623 Vanilla Avenue was reported to 9-1-1 just after 5:30-p.m., Saturday.

Sheriff’s Deputies along with Fire and Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene. The unidentified victims were located under the ice. They were flown by helicopter to a hospital.
