Cold wind chills the next few hours & some minor blowing snow

WINDS HAVE INCREASED TO 15 TO 2O MPH ACROSS THE REGION THIS MORNING AND THIS HAS RESULTED IN A BRIEF DROP IN WIND CHILL READINGS TO BETWEEN 15 AND 20 BELOW ZERO. THERE MAY ALSO BE SOME MINOR BLOWING SNOW ACROSS NORTH TO SOUTH ROADS AS WINDS GUSTING TO 25 TO 30 MPH CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.
THE COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE NOON HOUR TODAY AND THEN MODERATE TO 10 TO 15 BELOW BY THE NOON HOUR ACROSS THE AREA AND SLOWLY IMPROVE THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON AS TEMPERATURES RISE.
IF YOU ARE WORKING OUTDOORS THIS MORNING OR PLAN ON BEING OUTSIDE FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS…DRESS APPROPRIATELY. AREA TRAVELERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF PERIODS OF BLOWING SNOW WHICH MAY COAT ROADWAYS WITH ADDTIONAL PATCHES OF SNOW RESULTING IN SLICK CONDITIONS.
