Two Police Officers were assaulted in Clarinda, Tuesday night, after responding to a domestic disturbance. Police Chief Keith Brothers says at approximately 9:05 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call concerning a domestic disturbance taking place at Lot #29 in the Maplewood Trailer Court, 515 South 10th St. The female caller reported her husband was out of control and the female resident needed help from the police.
The male resident, 52-year old Ricky Dean Harrison, of Clarinda kicked one of the officers in the leg and kicked another officer in the stomach. Afterward, one of the officers deployed a Taser device on Harrison, who was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Assault on a Peace Officer and Resisting arrest. The officers were not injured during the altercation.
Harrison was booked into the Page County Jail and held without bond, pending an initial appearance before the Page County Magistrate. The Page County Attorney’s Office will review the incident for the filing of formal charges.
