Police in Red Oak arrested local man late Friday morning for violating a court order. Officers responded to a reported verbal domestic disturbance at a residence in the 1000-block of North 5th Street at around 11:50-a.m. Upon investigation, they determined 35-year old Michael Shane Sunny Cantrell, of Red Oak, did have a valid protective order issued against him by the female in the residence.

Cantrell was taken  into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center, where he was being held on $300 bond.
