Iowa routs Abilene Christian 103-41

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — Devyn Marble scored 22 of his season-high 27 points in the first half as Iowa thumped Abilene Christian 103-41 on Sunday. Marble scored 15 of the Hawkeyes’ first 17 points. Freshman Peter Jok added 15 points for Iowa (4-0). LaDarrien Williams scored 12 points to lead Abilene Christian (0-4).
Marble put on a show in the opening minutes, making six of his first seven shots, including two 3-pointers and a pair of nifty drives. The Hawkeyes shot 62 percent from the floor to eclipse the 100-point mark for the second straight game. Iowa made 9 of 21 3-pointers. Abilene Christian committed 19 turnovers and shot just 26 percent.
Iowa opened the second half on a 32-4 run after leading 46-22 at halftime. Zach McCabe and Gabe Olaseni each scored 10 points for the Hawkeyes.
