UNI Rolls Past McNese State

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — Sawyer Kollmorgen passed for 288 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 30 yards and another touchdown, to lead Northern Iowa over McNeese State 41-6 Saturday.
Northern Iowa (4-0) dominated from start to finish, limiting McNeese State (4-1) to just 280 total yards and recovered three fumbles.
Kollmorgen opened the scoring with a 32-yard touchdown to David Johnson as the Panthers built a 17-0 halftime lead. Northern Iowa stretched the lead on the first series of the second half, as Kollmorgen hit Chad Owens for a 25-yard touchdown less than two minutes into the half.
McNeese State finally scored later in the third quarter as Cody Stroud completed a six-yard touchdown pass to Marcus Wiltz, but a two-point conversion failed.
Kollmorgen then converted a Cowboys fumble into a one-yard scoring run late in the third and Northern Iowa added two more TDs in the fourth quarter to complete the romp.
