HAROLD AKERS, 82 AND DORIS AKERS, 79 of Exira died Friday, Sept. 27th.  Joint funeral services for HAROLD AND DORIS AKERS will be held 10:30-a.m. Thu., Oct. 3rd, at the Exira Christian Church. Kessler Funeral Home in Exira has the arrangements.

Friends may call at the funeral home, where a family visitation is from 5-to 7pm Wednesday.

Burial will be in the Exira Cemetery.

HAROLD AND DORIS AKERS are survived by:

Their children – Kristi (Jerry) McClain, of Exira; Michael (Lori) Akers, and Todd (Angel) Akers, all of Colorado Springs, CO.

8 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.

HAROLD AKERS is also survived his brother & sister: Nyle Akers, of Exira, and Lana (Rich) Boggs, of Guthrie Center.

DORIS AKERS is also survived by her brothers & sisters: Lois Oakley, of Audubon; Frank Hutchins, of Norwalk; Bill (Marlene) Hutchins, of Apache Junction, AZ; and Gary (Rhonda) Hutchins, of Roswell, NM.

The couple is also survived by their sisters-in-law, other relatives, and friends.
