The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reported Wednesday that two Indiana residents were arrested early Sunday afternoon on numerous charges, after deputies were called to the area of Interstate 29 and Highway 2, for a report of suspicious items left in a hotel room. When deputies arrived, they made contact with 36-year old Aslan Peregrine Petty and 26-year old Victoria Yvonne Vazquez, both of Brownsburg, IN.
Authorities determined both subjects had active warrants for their arrest in Indiana. A search warrant executed on the rental car the pair used, resulted in several items being located, including a large amount of marijuana and methamphetamine.
Petty and Vasquez were each arrested for: 4 counts of Failure to affix a tax stamp; Possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute/marijuana (less than 50-kilograms); Possession with the intent to distribute/methamphetamine (greater the 5-grams, but less then 5-kilograms); 5 counts each of Possession of a controlled substance/heroin; Possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Petty and Vasquez were being held in the Fremont County Jail on $147,300 and $131, 300 bond, respectively. An investigation into their activities is ongoing.
