THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT… THUNDERSTORMS…SOME SEVERE, ARE AGAIN POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND OVERNIGHT. DAMAGING WINDS…LARGE HAIL…AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL BE THE PRIMARY HAZARDS. A SHORT REPRIEVE FROM THE THUNDERSTORMS AND HEAVY RAIN WILL HOLD AT LEAST INTO MID AFTERNOON.
THE STORMS FROM LAST NIGHT WORKED OVER THE ENVIRONMENT…ESPECIALLY NORTH PARTS OF THE FORECAST AREA…WHERE THE OUTFLOW BOUNDARY WAS STILL VERY EVIDENT JUST ALONG AND SOUTH OF I80. THIS REMAINS THE AREA WHERE WE COULD SEE
THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOP AS TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE THE UPPER 70’S AND LOWER 80’S. ANOTHER BOUNDARY WAS LOCATED OVER SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA INTO SOUTHWEST IOWA. THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY FORM ALONG THIS BOUNDARY LATER THIS AFTERNOON.
OVERNIGHT…A LOW LEVEL JET SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP AND DEEPER MOISTURE RETURNS TO THE OUTLOOK AREA…THUS FAVORABLE CONDITIONS FOR THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP. DAMAGING WINDS…HAIL…AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL BE THE PRIMARY HAZARDS. CONDITIONS OF AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS THAT ARE ALREADY RUNNING
HIGH MAY WORSEN WITH ADDITIONAL HEAVY RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY…PERIODS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY OF THIS WEEK. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN ARE POSSIBLE FROM ANY OF THE ACTIVITY.
