SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH ADDITIONAL RAIN FALLING ON ALREADY SATURATED GROUND WILL RESULT IN POTENTIAL FLASH FLOODING.
* SEVERAL RIVERS AND STREAMS ACROSS SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA AND SOUTHWEST IOWA ARE ALREADY ABOVE OR NEAR FLOOD STAGE AND ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL COMPOUND FLOODING PROBLEMS.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
