New Omaha superintendent to resign over emails

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) ā The incoming superintendent of Omaha Public Schools has offered to resign her position amid media reports that the discovery of sexy emails hastened her departure from her Iowa post. The Omaha school district has scheduled a special meeting for Saturday afternoon to consider Nancy Sebring’s offer to resign. Sebring was to assume the superintendent’s position on July 1. She abruptly resigned as superintendent of the Des Moines school system last month, saying she needed to attend to family matters ahead of her move. Sebring now acknowledges she stepped down earlier than expected after emails she exchanged with her lover using her district account were discovered.
