Iowa State Moves into AP Top 25

AMES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa State is ranked 25th in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll.

It’s the first time the Cyclones (22-9, 12-6) have been ranked in the AP poll since November of 2005 — a drought that lasted 130 weeks.

Iowa State is coming off an 80-72 win over then-No. 9 Baylor in Saturday’s regular-season finale.

The Cyclones earned the No. 3 seed for the Big 12 tournament and will face sixth-seeded Texas in Kansas City on Thursday at 8:30 p.m.
