CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) — Northern Iowa defensive coordinator Jovan Dewitt is leaving the program to become the linebackers coach at Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton. Panthers coach Mark Farley says Dewitt will be joining the staff of first-year Owls coach Carl Pelini, a former assistant to his brother Bo Pelini, the head coach at Nebraska. Farley says Dewitt did a great job for the Panthers, adding that the move to FAU is a great opportunity for him. Dewitt spent the past three seasons at Northern Iowa. He was the linebackers coach in 2009-10 and became the defensive coordinator last season.
