Chalices stolen from Council Bluffs church

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — Council Bluffs police are investigating the theft of two chalices valued at $5,000 from a church. The Rev. Dan Kirby of the Corpus Christi Parish reported the silver and gold chalices were stolen from the Holy Family Church. Kirby told police the chalices, which were in a cupboard, were taken between 11 a.m. on Oct. 2 and 11 a.m. last Wednesday. No arrests have been reported.
